More about the Sprinklers

Every Dovetail Copper Garden Sprinkler
was designed by someone who cares
about the quality of your new purchase...

All of the copper garden sprinkler designs sold at Dovetail Gallery & Studio were created by Kathleen Beck, a full-time artist. While it is not possible for Kathy to actively fabricate every sprinkler sold, she is intimately involved with the design and production of the entire line.

Dovetail copper garden sprinklers are each handcrafted with the best materials, skill and quality control possible. We warranty our workmanship for a period of one year and pay for all the shipping costs that result from a valid return. No one stands behind their sprinklers like Dovetail Gallery & Studio:

1. Copper Pipe vs. Copper Tube We use copper pipe that can only be bent (rolled) with a specialized machine. Copper tube comes in coils and is easy to work with, but tube is not nearly as durable as pipe. The cost of copper pipe is also substantially greater than tube.
2. Welded vs. Soldered Joints We weld all of our joints wherever possible, as opposed to just soldering. Welding copper takes much more skill than soldering, and adds substantial strength.
3. Teflon vs. Brass The teflon sleeve in our poles will have far less wear than the brass used by others, and is easily replaced. Since no friction exists when the brass bushing from the sprinkler head spins inside of the teflon sleeve, you can operate our sprinklers at much slower speeds and don't have to worry about them stopping.
4. 3-Prong vs. 2-Prong Spike All of our sprinklers come with a 3-prong welded steel spike with a brass garden hose connector. This gives your sprinkler a sturdy base that won't leak.
