“I can't wait to return to your wonderful gallery... Your egg work, the dino fossil, your doves!, Jon Anderson's work (I love my necklace), all the eggs (bet I missed a few!), paperweights, garden things—WOW!”

During the late 1800's and turn of the century, the Imperial Eggs were given to the Tsarina on Easter morning. Of the 52 Imperial eggs that were made, only 42 are in existence today. The great majority of them are on display at the Hermitage in Russia.
Fabergé also made small gold eggs that are referred to as Easter eggs. These cloisonné enameled Easter eggs were filled with the finest chocolate and presented to the children and guests at Easter dinner. These unique eggs are perfect examples of the incredible detail, brilliance of technique, and inspiring craftsmanship of Fabergé's dazzling imagination.
The Dovetail Gallery aquired these exquisite pieces of history from an egg collector in Chicago in 1998. They are proudly on
display for our visitors to enjoy.
