Clear Powdercoating
This past season we have been selling our sprinklers with a powdercoated version for an additional $30 charge. Powdercoating is an electrostatic process where powder is applied with a low PSI air gun to the statically charged sprinkler insuring an equal distribution. It is then placed in an oven at the prescribed temperature and time. The powder melts clear and is baked onto the part forming a very durable finish that is UV resistant. All sprinklers can be powder coated except, those with the patina on them. If you prefer the "shiny" appearance of your garden art sprinkler select the clear powdercoat option.
Copper Pipe vs. Copper Tube: Our Rotating Garden Art Sprinklers are Copper Pipe. Pipe is rigid for durability and must be rolled on a specialized machine. Copper tubing is soft and bends easily.
Sprinkler Spray Diameter: Regular sprinklers have a spray diameter of 12 to 20 feet and the Petite sprinklers have a 15 foot diameter spray.
Welded vs. Soldered Joints: Where necessary, joints are welded to add substantial strength as opposed to soldering.
Teflon vs. Brass: Minimal resistance exists between the brass fitting and the mating teflon bushing, thus, the copper sprinkler can rotate at slow speeds.
3 Steel Prong vs. 2 Prong Spike: A welded 3 prong steel spike with a brass garden hose fitting provides a sturdy base for the copper sprinkler.
